A cast copper-alloy post-medieval animal 'crotal' (bell). This complete example has a sub-square suspension loop between two circular sound holes located on the upper hemisphere. The sound holes are recessed on the outer surface and measure c. 5/6mm in diameter. The upper hemisphere is plain. The suspension loop has a angled top with a groove suggesting crude cutting. The perforation is also quite crude. The loop measures up to 10mm in height by 11.9mm in width by 5.15mm thick. An incomplete copper alloy T-shaped bow brooch.The bow and a fragment of the pin only remain. The wings are short and tubular, housing the axis bar for a hinged pin, the wings are filled with a white substance. The front of the wings are both decorated with three incised lines. The head of the pin is still attached to the bar in a notch between the wings. The head of the pin is expanded from the shaft and has a slight point at one side to press against the back of the brooch to tension the pin. An incomplete copper alloy Roman equal ended plate brooch dating to AD 100-200.
One lug and the pin are missing, the brooch is slightly damaged.
The brooch is broadly rectangular in plan. The front face is decorated with two vertical grooves flanking a central raised rectangle which is surrounded by a fine pellet border. The centre of the rectangular is recessed, no evidence of inlay survives. Two further projections are located at the top and bottom of the main body of the artefact, on the reverse of these projections are the lugs and the now missing catch plate respectively.…

An incomplete gilded cast copper-alloy lozengiform strip brooch of middle early-medieval (8th- to early 9th-century) date. It is formed of one piece of metal wrought into a flat lozengiform plate with wire continuations at the longer apexes. At one end the catchplate is broken off. At the other end is a curved wire projection (c. 8.55mm) which is the incomplete coil for the spring and pin.

An incomplete cast copper alloy buckle frame. An oval, double looped D-sectioned frame with two knops on each loop. There is also a slight knop on the edge of the frame at each end of the bar. The bar is narrowed from the frame. The back is flat and undecorated. The pin is missing and the buckle has been burnt. Similar buckles are recorded in Whitehead, R, 1996, p. 63, see No. 382. Date: Post-medieval - mid 16th to mid 17th century Dimensions: 39.15 mm in length, 23.8 mm in width, 3.85 mm thick and weighs 7.92 grams.

Incomplete cast copper alloy post-medieval double loop buckle frame. One loop has been lost from old breaks and the pin is missing. The other is D shaped in profile with an expanded outer edge and two incisions in the centre of the loop before a projecting knop forming a pin rest. The centre bar is recessed and narrowed, there are projecting knobs at both ends, outlined by grooves across the frame, there are also two incisions on each knop forming a basic V shape. A corroded post-medieval cast copper-alloy double-looped buckle. It is formed is a pair of conjoined oval loops; the sides therefore incurve. It is bevelled externally on the upper surface; the lower surface is flat. The pin bar is sub-trapezoidal in cross section. The thick sheet pin is broken with the fragment surviving looped around the pin bar. The buckle has a dusty green patina where it survives, over a red-brown metal. One of the loops has been squashed as a result of old damage and has been bent upwards at an angle of about thirty degrees.

A corroded and incomplete post-medieval cast copper-alloy double-looped buckle. The surviving loop is D shaped, while the other one is missing as a result of old damage. The outer edge is shallowly bevelled on the upper surface; the lower surface is flat. The pin bar has a sub-rectangular cross section. The thick sheet pin is survives complete. It tapers to a point. The buckle has a mid-green patina where it survives over a red-brown coppery metal.

A post medieval copper alloy buckle dating to the period c AD 1500-1650. The buckle is complete. It comprises a double loop oval shape with expanded outer loops and raised rib at either end of the strap bar. The pin is bevelled on the upper surface, flat on the reverse and tapers to a point.
The buckle is 38.6mm in length, 22.95mm wide, 2.7mm thick and weighs 6.31 grams.

A Bronze Age chisel fragment measuring 33.35mm in length and 45.6mm wide. The chisel is incomplete only the blade survives. The blade thins from 4.9mm thick to 1.5mm thick at the cutting edge, the break at the top of the blade is broadly oval in cross section. The blade expands from the break towards the cutting edge. The chisel weighs 26.15 grams.
