An Iron Age silver Cranborne Chase stater dating to c 58 BC-AD 43. The stater is of the Durotriges. The obverse depicts part of a wreath, a cloak and crescents. The reverse depicts a disjoined horse facing left with a rectangular head, body of crescents, four vertical legs (the legs and tail and pellet below are missing owing to the coin being struck off centre). There are 12 pellets above. Cf Rudd, C, 2010, Ancient British Coins, Chris Rudd Aylsham 2010 p 110 no ABC 2157.

The obverse depicts 'Three men in a boat' design with what appers to be the hull of a boat with oars along the side and above three 'figures' or 'sails' and a pellet rosette to the left of the hull. The reverse depicts zigzag thunderbolts and a line of pellets across field, Y-shape and uncertain objects to each side.
