Copper alloy buckle or brooch. The artefact is broadly circular in plan with a constriction for the pin which is missing, the edges of the brooch are bevelled. There is a crude animal head which projects from the frame opposite the constriction, which depicts two eyes and a snout. The projection has a recess to hold the pin. The reverse is flat and undecorated. Length 1836.85mm, width 32.1mm, thickness 3.2mm, weight 6.5g. Compare Egan and Pritchard 1991, Dress Accessories p. 65 no 212.
