A cast lead alloy (possibly pewter) fragment possibly from a whistle of post medieval or early modern date (1650 - 1900 although probably 19th century). The fragment consists of the lower part of the cylindrical body of the whistle and the perforated knop shaped terminal with a slight lip. The outer surface is decorated with a series of cast crosses and flowers. The artefact is a mid grey colour with a slightly shiny grey surface. Post-medieval silver whistle-teether for a baby or young child, missing its coral end. The whistle is cylindrical, 74mm long, and divided into three, roughly even, sections by two circles of spiral silver wire. The complete end is shaped into a whistle with a concave curved recessed side to make the mouth piece and on the opposite face a large D-shaped hole punched into the cylinder, the straight edge towards the mouth end. A post medieval copper alloy quarter ounce stacking trade weight dating to AD 1625-1685. The trade weight comprises a disc which has been ground down on one side leaving a rim around the edge. In the centre is a circular depression used to hold the weight while is was being ground. There are three stamps in the depressed area (a) a crown with a C below for Charles I or Charles II, (b) the sword of St Paul for the City of London and (c) a ewer for the Founders' Company of London. The reverse is undecorated.

A cast solid copper alloy Byzantine three ounce weight of Roman date. The object is spherical with a flattened top and bottom. The sides of the sphere appear to have been hammered. On one of these flat ends, is an decoated on the top face with a gamma and an I widely spaced. The gamma and the I are inlaid with a white material, part of which is lost. The diameter is 25.11mm. The object weighs 73.82 grams. A similar example can be seen in Bendall 1996 p. 25.

A Roman steelyard lead weight with a corroded iron loop at the upper end dating to AD 43-410. The weight is complete, the iron projection is visible at the tip, the loop is missing. The weight is broadly circular in plan and conical in cross section. The steelyard weight is 49.15mm in height, 37.71mm in diameter and weighs 156.22 grams.

A complete cast lead pan weight, circular in plan and rectangular in profile with VIII stamped on the front face. It weighs 226g, which is just less than eight Averdupois ounces. The style of the letters suggests cAD 1600 - 1800. It is 47.25mm in diameter, c14.5mm thick, though this varies a little.The lead appears to have been battered a little out of shape, perhaps while in the ground, but there is also evidence that an edge may have been taken off, while there are also one or two small accretions of lead which suggest additions.
