A complete side plate of a copper alloy medieval (14th century) sub rectangular composite strap end. It has a round aperture and two rivet holes with rivets in place at the incurved attachment end. It is overall 33.05mm in length, 14.55mm in width and is straight sided with knop largely missing. It is heavily abraded but apparently undecorated. The remains of a spacer appear to be attached on parts of the underside of the plate.

Fragment of a cast silver early medieval strap-end, comprising the central section only with the terminal and attachment end now lost to breaks. The central section has a plain incised border containing the remains of a Trewhiddle style zoomorphic motif. The back is undecorated.

An early medieval cast copper-alloy strap-end with silver rivets. It is sub-rectangular and elongated in form, with a snub-nosed zoomorphic terminal and an expanded split attachment end with two rounded lobes. The lobes are pierced for attachment and contain two silver dome-headed rivets. At the base of the attachment end, where the expanded section meets the narrowed central section, is a pair of deeply incised transverse lines. A copper alloy Early Medieval strap end dating to the period c. AD 750 - 1100. The strap end can be classed as a Thomas Class A Type 1 and exhibits a split end terminal with two sets of two circular perforations, one copper-alloy rivet survives, the second is missing. The main body of the strap end is decorated, the deocration is abraded and difficult to discern. There is evidence of inlay, possibly niello. the strap end erminates in a very stylised zoomorphic head. It includes two eyes which have been incised. An incomplete copper-alloy medieval composite strap end consisting of the outer plate and rivet. The plate is broadly D shaped in plan tapering from 8.55mm wide to 5.05mm wide at the tip. At the sip of the plate is a circular perforation which contains a in situ copper-alloy rivet (2.7mm in length). The strap end is 20.25mm in length, 8.55mm wide, 0.6mm thick and weighs 0.56 grams.
