A hoard of Roman copper-alloy vessels consisting of a symmetrical flanged bowl strainer, a Bassin Uni, a carinated basin with a foot ring and an Irchester bowl. The vessels were part of a structured Roman deposit with each vessel nestled within another and all contained within the Irchester bowl. An incomplete late Roman Irchester bowl which was deposited with the rim facing the surface. Roughly a third of the bowl is missing. The bowl is 85mm in height, the base is convex and from the base the body expands to its maximum width just below the rim (256mm) before tapering inwards slightly to the rim (236mm) which has a bevelled edge (2.5mm thick). The omphalos base is convex on the outside and is domed upwards in the centre (70mm in diameter), internally the centre of the raised boss to the rim is 81mm. An incomplete copper-alloy Middle Bronze Age palstave mould consisting of one half of the mould dating to the period c.1500-1300 BC. The mould varies in thickness it is 9.9mm thick at the funnel, the walls are 13.4mm wide at the loop and the walls taper in width to a minimum width of 6.85mm at the blade. The mould is 182mm in length and has a maximum width of 70.85mm at the blade. The front face is decorated with a raised shield and central vertical rib. A bent post-medieval copper-alloy Nuremberg rose/orb jetton, dating to the period AD 1500-1600. The obverse is also mostly indiscernible, though the faint outline of the three crowns, alternately with three lis, arranged centrifugally around a central rose can be seen. On the reverse, there is an imperial orb surmounted by a cross patty, within a tressure with three main arches. Both legends are illegible.

A complete cast lead pan weight, circular in plan and rectangular in profile with VIII stamped on the front face. It weighs 226g, which is just less than eight Averdupois ounces. The style of the letters suggests cAD 1600 - 1800. It is 47.25mm in diameter, c14.5mm thick, though this varies a little.The lead appears to have been battered a little out of shape, perhaps while in the ground, but there is also evidence that an edge may have been taken off, while there are also one or two small accretions of lead which suggest additions.

An incomplete post-medieval copper-alloy openwork dress fastener of Read class E, type 5 (2001 110, ref. 436). The tag is a Hungerford knot with pellets on each cord terminal, which are joined by a bar to form a trapezoidal attachment loop. Projecting from the largest loop of the knot is a long narrow hook which is mostly missing. Read dates this form of hooked tag to 1500-1700 AD (ibid., 87). The tag measures 19.95mm in length, 18.2mm wide and weighs 1.71 grams.

An incomplete copper alloy Roman (AD 75-175) Trumpet-headed (trumpet derivative) brooch. The upper bow, wings and an incomplete loop survives, the lower bow, pin and catchplate are missing. Above the bow is a incomplete loop with a circular perforation, to the reverse the wings are D shaped in cross section. A fragment of the pin is visible in the recess, iron corrosion suggests the axis bar is constructed from iron. The bow tapers from the wings to the break, at the break it is oval in cross section. The brooch measures 19.55mm in length, 17.25mm wide and weighs 3.76 grams.

An incomplete cast copper alloy post medieval triangular shaped strap fitting with two integral pointed lugs dating to 17th century AD. On the front face there are three basal ridges and a rounded knop at the top. Two the reverse are two pointed lugs which project from a expanded circular base. One lug is possibly complete, the other almost completely missing. It is 25.7mm in length, 9.75mm wide and weighs 1.78 grams.

This is a bar mount with terminal lobes and a central plano-convex central lobe or boss which is decorated with diagonal, hatched, incised lines. The two rivets are in place, one in the centre of each of the lugs. The bar mount is 13.15mm in length, 6.4mm in width and weighs 0.74 grams.

A complete side plate of a copper alloy medieval (14th century) sub rectangular composite strap end. It has a round aperture and two rivet holes with rivets in place at the incurved attachment end. It is overall 33.05mm in length, 14.55mm in width and is straight sided with knop largely missing. It is heavily abraded but apparently undecorated. The remains of a spacer appear to be attached on parts of the underside of the plate.
