Robert Kenyon, following on from the work by the French scholars P-A. Besombes and M. Bompaire (in Trésors Monétaires XXI, 2005), is working through the British examples of Claudian coinage recorded through the PAS assigning many so-called Claudian contemporary copies to Roman auxiliary mints which operated at Lyons (Gaul) and in Spain. This example could not be classified to a particular mint, nor as a native copy.

A copper alloy possible horse harness ring of Bronze Age to Roman date (c. 1000 BC - AD 410). The ring measures 33.75mm in diameter (internal diameter 16.55mm), is 5.95mm thick and weighs 15.12g. It is circular in shape with a defined circumferential ridge running around the centre. The interior surface also features a defined circumferential ridge, creating a lozenge-shaped cross section. An incomplete cast copper alloy Iron Age or Roman mount dating to the period c. 300BC - AD 100. It is possibly a decorative shield clip, although it has also been suggested that this type of mount derives from a bucket, tankard or vessel. The mount consists of a hollow tubular sheet of copper alloy decorated with a pair of moulded ridges at each end, with two further curving ridges which meet at their apex to create an X shape in the centre. A fragment of a cast copper alloy Beaded Torc or bracelet of Iron Age date, 600BC-AD 43. The object has been broken off at both ends. It measures 24.35mm in length, 9.2mm maximum width, 6.1mm minimum width, 6.0mm in thick and weights 5.25 grams. The bracelet is slightly curved, with a flat underside and a semi-circular section. It consists of three hemispheres connected by a short,solid neck.There are substancial recesses visible in the hemispheres, possibly casting flaws. Similar fragments can be found on the database. A flint side-and-end scraper of Neolithic date (c. 4000 - 2350 BC). The scraper is struck on a secondary flake and retains <10% of cortex at the distal end. It exhibits three negative flake scars on the dorsal surface from previous flake removal. The striking platform is not visible, this is due to later retouch. There is short semi-abrupt scaled retouch on the dorsal face. The scraper measures 38.65mm in length, 36.8mm in width, is 8.4mm thick and weighs 13.93 grams.

A Roman copper-alloy deliberately cut plate brooch (c. AD 80-250). The brooch was circular in plan and has been decorated with three raised circular ridges, one located along the circumference. The brooch has been cut into a quarter, a deliberate scratch mark is visible which suggests that this brooch has been deliberately mutilated. To the reverse the brooch is flat, a incomplete lug or catchplate is visible. The brooch is 20.15mm in surviving length, 17.85mm wide, 3.35mm thick and weighs 3.94 grams.

A copper alloy medieval buckle dating to the period c. AD 1250 - 1400. The pin survives but is damaged. The frame of the buckle is broadly ovular in shape with a small projecting knop at each end of the pin bar. The outer edge of the buckle features two moulded projecting knops and two transverse grooves which would have flanked the pin rest. The pin tapers to the point and measures 23mm in length and 2.05mm wide. The buckle measures 23.5mm in length, 33.4mm wide and weighs 7.78 grams.

The upper portion of the strap fitting has a concave edge, below this are two vertically arranged circular rivets in situ which have iron corrosion product surrounding them. The hook has a D-shape cross section. Both sides are undecorated. The length of the fitting is 34.65mm, the maximum width 11.23mm and the thickness 2.15mm. It weighs 2.57 grams. The upper section of the bow and the wings have been bent at a one hundred and thirty five degree angle, the pin is missing. A Roman copper-alloy Guiraud type 5b finger ring-key with an openwork key extension dating to AD 200-410. The hoop and key are both incomplete. The hoop is D-shaped and tapers towards the break, it is unclear whether this is due to wear or damage. Below the incomplete openwork projection is a broadly triangular raised ridge with a circular recess located at the base. The kep projects upwards from the ring as has been bent inwards. The artefact bears similarities with a number of finger ring keys from Uley, particularly Fig 132 no 11 and 12.

An incomplete copper alloy strap end of early medieval date, dating to the 9th Century AD. The strap end is classified as a Thomas Class A, being broadly rectangular with slowly tapering ends, especially at the 'snout' end, the strap end has been bent forwards. The strap end is divided into three areas; the 'snout', zoomorphic in design with pronounced ears, a central panel of a possible interlaced beast. A incomplete copper-alloy post-medieval oval buckle frame with zoomorphic projections. The pin and majority of the pin bar are missing. The buckle frame is broadly triangular in cross section with a bevelled outer edge, the incomplete pin bar is triangular in cross section. The zoomorphic projections consist of a birds head and seven transverse grooves. The other projection is in the form of a tail expanding towards the tip and is decorated with four chevrons pointing towards the buckle frame. Cf. An incomplete, bent copper alloy Roman Hod Hill type brooch dating to AD 43-75. The bow, head and wings mostly survive, the foot and pin are missing. The brooch is bent and measures 27.35mm in length, 28.20mm wide, 8.11 grams. The wings roll upwards and forwards to hold the iron axis bar, the wings have been bent. Below the wings the brooch narrows to 7.5mm and then expands to the bow 11.4mm. An incomplete copper alloy Roman (AD c.100-c.200) probable equal-ended plate brooch with two non identical terminals, missing its pin. Overall, the brooch measures 38.5mm in length, 16.9mm wide and weighs 4.23 grams. A domed circular plate is located at the centre of the brooch, the front face is decoated with a raised zig zag horizontal ridge flanked by two horizontal ridges. the plate then tapers towards the two terminals (from 16.85mm to 5.25mm), about halfway from the centre of the circular plate are two further horizontal ridges.
