A cast copper alloy Medieval strap end. The strap end is a rectanglular sheet which has been folded. The two plates are uneven in length (21.45mm and 19.8mm) the longer plate has been bent outwards slightly at the tip. At the opposite edge there is a single copper alloy rivet through a rivet hole on each plate. There is a 1.8mm gap between the two plates. The strap end is undecorated. The surface of the strap end has a dark green patina. In length the strap end is 21.45mm, 7.9mm wide and 3mm thick. It weighs 1.62g.

A fragment of an Early medieval strap end of probable 9th century date, only the terminal survives. The strap end would have tapered towards the terminal which tapens to a point, the terminal also thickens at this point. The terminal depicts an animals head, with large broadly triangular eyes and flattened ears. The reverse is flat and undecorated. The strap end is 17.4mm in length, 11.1mm wide, 3.85mm thick and weighs 1.8 grams.

Fragment of a sheet copper alloy strap end of probable Medieval date. The strap end is incomplete and is sub-rectangular in plan, the sides taper slightly towards the tip where there is an old break. The top of the strap end has been lost, the remander is bent outwards slightly from the break. There is a slight vertical ridge on either side. One edge has been bent outwards slightly at the centre. The strap end is 21.95mm in length, 13.95mm wide, 1.2mm thick and weighs 1.0 grams.
