A silver post-medieval seal matrix, dating to the late 17th to 18th century. The seal matrix has a conical handle (hexagonally faceted) which terminates in an openwork trefoil terminal with three inverted drop-shaped apertures. On top of this terminal is a small, rounded knop.
The base of the seal matrix is oval, and features a shield divided into quarters, surrounded on either side by foliage and topped by a helm out of which sprout five ostrich plumes. A incomplete post medieval copper alloy fob seal matrix. The upper body of the matrix is missing. The surviving section of the seal matrix is concave and rectangular in plan. The upper survace is decorated with a foliate motif, the circumference is decorated with a raised band.
The base of the matix contains a glass intaglio which has been engraved depicting the laureate bust of Vespasian facing left (on the intaglio) therefore facing right on the impression,
The seal matrix is 20.65mm in length, 16.6mm wide, 8.05mm thick and weighs 4.77 grams.

A fragment of a silver post-medieval seal matrix consisting of the tip of the handle. The handle terminates with a oval loop, the loop has a small projecting knop located at the top. Flanking the lower section of the oval loop are two knops, one located on each side. Below the openwork handle splits forming a triangle below which is a horizontal ridge. The remainder of the seal matrix is missing below this point.
The fragment is 15.05mm in length, 7.65mm wide, 3.65mm thick and weighs 0.89 grams.

A Medieval copper-alloy seal matrix.
The circular matrix bears the incised central image of a rabbit or hare facing right. There is no inner circle separating the device and the inscription. The inscription is partly lost to edge damage, but the letters VE SV can be read, enabling the fragments of the three letters at the start to be reconstructed and the full inscription to be read as * PRIVE SV (I am private), a common anonymous inscription. A complete copper-alloy pedestal seal matrix of post-medieval date. The die is oval with the incised initials M S inside an oval beaded border. Above and below the initials are identical engraved motifs, each with a short vertical line flanked by horizontal S-shaped curves.

A complete copper-alloy pedestal/pendant seal matrix of post medieval date. The face of the die is oval with an incised decoration of a ship inside an oval boarder.
The handle which extend upwards from the back of the die narrows sharply to a thin stem, rectangular in cross section, at the centre of the oval. The stem then flares to form a flattened oval shape with three circular perforations across its width. Above the perforations the handle terminated in a suspension loop.
The seal matrix is 27.5mm in height, 15.35mm wide and weighs 4.58 grams.

A post medieval copper alloy fob seal matrix. The upper body of the matrix is triangular formed of four symmetyrial projections which taper towards a cylindrical loop. The gilded sides are decorated with a foliate design.
The base of the seal matrix is oval and gilded. It contains a glass intaglio with chamfered edges. The intaglio has been decorated with a standing draped female figure facing right (therefore facing left on the impression).
The seal matrix is 31.35mm in height, the base is 24.3mm in length and 20.1mm wide. The seal matrix weighs 9.63 grams.

An almost-complete copper-alloy pedestal seal matrix of 17th-century date. The die is just oval (15.15 x c. 17mm). At the centre of the oval is a circular recess with circular and triangular punches forming a crude human mask, with short mouth, wide nose, large eyes and dots forming a brow or hair. The face is surrounded by radiating V-shaped punches (points outwards) and the effect is that of a sun with a face within. This is all enclosed within an outer grooved border.

A lead medieval personal seal matrix dating to the period c. AD 1200 - 1440. The seal matrix is circular and flat, with a bevelled edge sloping on the reverse. The obverse exhibits a central design of a crescent with what should be a star above; the star in fact appears to have a straight central stem with downcurved branches and looks more like a palm tree. The central design is surrounded by an inscription probably reading *S' RIC'DI DE FERNE (Seal of Richard of Fern). A silver medieval seal matrix. The seal matrix is pointed oval in shape with a longitudinal mid-rib on the reverse from which a D-shaped suspension loop projects. The obverse exhibits a pellet border within which the legend * LOVINE : DELELAMVR is engraved. The N of LOVINE is reversed. There is an inner pellet border within which is an engraved design of two clasped hands.

Description: An incomplete silver post-medieval pedestal type seal matrix.
The seal face is oval and carries a design an anchor with a heart located in the centre of the shank flanked by two outstretched wings. There is a pellet border around the edge. The handle is hexagonal in cross section, the letters TL are inscribed, the handle decorated with two raised horizontal bands before it flares out into a incomplete openwork terminal, now too fragmentary to be certain of the design.

Medieval cast copper alloy pedestal type seal matrix with a circular face. The matrix has a central design of a squirrel crouching facing left (right on the impression). The legend starts with a star and possibly reads PREVE SV (I am private). The edges are badly chipped which has removed the upper edges of the letters and any outer border.
The central pedestal type handle rises from the face in six facets, narrowing as it rises to a waist from which it expands out slightly before ending in a flat, transverse, circular loop at the top.
