A complete Roman copper alloy plate brooch with an openwork plate and 'leg' extending from the lower edge. The flat plate is irregular in plan with a knopped projection located at both the top and bottom of the plate. The main body of the plate is broadly D shaped in plan (25.25mm wide) with two broadly D shaped openwork elements (the left openwork element has an internal width of 9.15mm , the right 10.20mm) internal diameter with central lobed projections (3.1mm wide).
