A rim sherd of a large Roman coarseware wheelthrown storage jar dating to c AD 43-410. The fabric is hard with a mid grey outer surface. The sherds exhibit frequent poorly sorted angular inclusions of flint, sand, grog and quartz.

Two handmade sherds from 12th to 13th century cooking jars, consisting of one rim sherd and one body sherd. The fragments have a general mid orange fabric with some red fabric with some reduced grey cores. The fabric has been tempered with c.20 - 25% poorly sorted small to medium, angular and rounded quartzite rocks, chert and flint. Voids are evident in the fabric which are consistent with missing temper. The rim sherd has a thickened rim on the outerside with a stright flat top. Date Medieval 12th - 13th century Weight 12.56grams.

Rim sherd from a Roman Black Burnished ware jar, dating to the 1st or 2nd century AD. Grey to black reduced fabric with abundant rounded quartz sand temper. The surface has been coated in a thick black slip and are burnished. South Western ware imitating Poole/Wareham fabric. The sherd is part of a handmade necked jar rim similar to Wessex Archaeology type 16. The breaks are abraded. It weighs 17.21 grams.

All the sherds are slightly abraded. The jars were handmade and comprise of 2 inverted rims which date between the 2nd and 3rd centuries. The combined weight is 16.31g.

Two everted rim sherds from a Roman separate grey ware jars. One has a light-grey sandy fabric and rim c. 9.4mm thick; it measures 57.8 by 17.1 by 14.6mm and weighs 16.85g. The other has a light/mid-grey fabric with finer sand inclusions, and more worn breaks. It measures 47.7 by 18.3 by 23.8mm, with a rim 10.7mm thick, and weighs 17.95g. A combined weight is given below.
