An incomplete cast copper alloy double loop buckle dating to the period c. AD 1550 - c.1650. The frames edges remain even are rather fine and do not bevel. The buckle has moulded roundels on the outer edge of each loop, and at either end of the strap bar. On the roundels on the both the outer edges is a flower design. The pin is missing. Overall, the buckle is 48.05mm in length, 27.7mm in width (maximum) and weighs 4.42 grams. A parallel to this buckle can be found in Whitehead (2003) "Buckles" page 51, No. 410.

The buckle frame is broadly D shaped with three expansions, it is D shaped in cross section. A rivet with a rounded top is located within a perforation in each of these expansions. The pin bar is narrowed and recessed. The reverse of the buckle is flat. The buckle is 23.4mm in length, 25.45mm wide, 4.6mm maximum thickness and weighs 3.43 grams.

A copper alloy medieval buckle dating to the period c. AD 1250 - 1400. The pin survives but is damaged. The frame of the buckle is broadly ovular in shape with a small projecting knop at each end of the pin bar. The outer edge of the buckle features two moulded projecting knops and two transverse grooves which would have flanked the pin rest. The pin tapers to the point and measures 23mm in length and 2.05mm wide. The buckle measures 23.5mm in length, 33.4mm wide and weighs 7.78 grams.

An incomplete bent copper-alloy and tin plated double-looped buckle of post-medieval date. The buckle is trapezoidal in shape with lobed protrusions at either end of the pin bar. Each outer edge is pointed. The outside edge of the buckle is bevelled while the lower surface is flat. Otherwise complete, the buckle's pin is missing. The buckle dates from around 1620 to 1680 AD. Whilst undecorated, in form the buckle is similar to an example illustrated in Whitehead (1996, 82; ref. 514).

It is a sub-annular shoe or knee buckle with a drilled frame for a separate spindle. The buckle is slightly convex at the front from the spindle fitting. An incomplete copper alloy double loop asymmetrical buckle. This plain buckle has bevelled edges, there are small protrusions at either end of the pin bar. The D shaped loop is decorated with two projecting knops, the other is decorated with transverse grooves. The pin is missing. The length is 23.6mm, the width is 18.25mm, the thickness 2.4mm. It weighs 3.04 grams. Buckles like these date from c.1575 to 1700. A similar buckle is No. 563 in Whitehead (2003).

An incomplete bent copper-alloy double-looped buckle of post-medieval date. The buckle is trapezoidal in shape with lobed protrusions at either end of the pin bar. Each outer edge is pointed. The outside edge of the buckle is bevelled while the lower surface is flat. Otherwise complete, the buckle's pin is missing. The buckle dates from around 1620 to 1680 AD. Whilst undecorated, in form the buckle is similar to an example illustrated in Whitehead (1996, 82; ref. 514).

An incomplete copper alloy medieval buckle with integral plate dating to the period c. AD 1250 - 1450. The buckle frame is D-shaped exhibits a narrowed pin bar, the pin is missing. The buckple plate is wrapped around the pin bar with a D shaped recess for the pin. The plate tapers from 8.85mm to 8.0mm wide and has a single perforation at the tip with an in situ rivet. The buckle and plate measures 29.6mm in length, 14.3mm wide, 3.8mm thick and weighs 2.48 grams.

An incomplete medieval copper alloy single looped buckle dating to the period c. AD 1250-14000. The frame is D shaped with a bevelled outer edge and narrowed pin bar which is circular in cross section. The frame is D shaped in cross section, the outer edge is decorated with numerous incised grooves. The pin is missing. The buckle measures 19.85mm in length, 34.95mm in width, is 5mm thick and weighs 6.31g.

A complete copper-alloy single loop buckle with integral plate of possible medieval date. The loop is broadly D shaped (39.95mm wide and 3.95mm thick) with expanding outer sides which subsequently taper towards the integral plate forming a right angle on the internal side of the frame. The loop is decorated on the upper face with a groove which runs along the outer edge of the loop until the expansion. An incomplete post medieval copper alloy buckle dating to the period c AD 1550-1650, the pin is missing. The buckle is worn and there is evidence of corrosion along the pin bar. It comprises a double loop oval shape with moulded floral decoration on the loops and lobed knops at either end of the integral strap bar.
