A very worn, slightly bent cast copper-alloy elaborate double loop buckle of Post-medieval date. The centre of each oval loop has a collared barrel moulding which is flanked by two scrolled knops. There are two sets of three raised collars on each loop and moulded curvilinear ribs run along the length of each loop. The pin bar is triangular in cross section and has two elaborate heads located at either end of the bar which form two knops on the outer edge of the buckle. The buckle is an elongated D-shape, far wider than it is long, with a narrowed and offset pin bar with moulded terminals; the pin is missing. The outer edge is expanded. It has a convex inner side. The outer side has a knopped protrusion. The pin is missing. The upper surface is bevelled both internally and externally while the lower surface is flat.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy single-looped medieval buckle with ornate outside edge. The oval frame's expanded outer edge is expanded and has been decorated with three veritcal incisions and two horizontal incisions forming a cross hatch design. The pin bar is offset and narrowed, the pin is missing. The buckle has corroded to a dark-grey colour with some patches of off-white corrosion product. A similar example can be found illustrated in Whitehead (1996 page 22)

The frame is formed of two conjoined ovals such that the sides incurve, the width of the two loops vary, the first has a width of 33.65mm in comparison to 32.05mm, the smaller loop has a recess to act as a pin rest. The artefact consists of a single looped sub-oval buckle with two knops on either side of the loop, one situated at either end where the loop joins with the outer edge, the other situated at either end of the pin bar. An incomplete Medieval cast copper alloy annular brooch pin, probably from the 14th century. It has an incomplete loop that tapers towards the end, where there is an old break. Outside and below the loop is a rectangular moulded collar. The shaft tapers slightly towards the end; on the underside of the tip, there is a small worn area that may be the notch. The pin is subrectangular in plan. It has a dark green patina.
The pin is 51.3mm in length, 4.8mm in width, 8.15mm thick and weighs 5.7 grams.
A similar brooch pin can be seen on the database SUSS-1E8091 and KENT-7A8BC3.

A complete cast copper-alloy single-looped buckle frame and pin of medieval date. The artefact is an irregular D-shape. The strap bar is narrowed and off-set, the pin survives. Its terminals are expanded but divided from the sides by grooves on the upper surface. The buckle frame expands towards the pin rest which is decorated by three incised recesses, the central recess would have acted as the pin rest. The lower surface of the artefact is flat and plain. The object has a dark brown patina but is covered in many places in a lighter corrosion product.

A slightly worn and corroded, complete cast copper-alloy double-looped buckle frame of post-medieval date. The frame is formed of a pair of 'D's that incurve towards the pin bar the pin bar has two small protruding knopped mouldings. On the upper surface the frame is bevelled round the outer edge. This bevelling is paralleled internally on the lower surface, other than on the pin bar which therefore has a sub-triangular cross-section. The artefact has been bent inwards slightly.
The buckle is 22.9mm in length, 17.65mm in width, 4.7mm thick and weighs 2.9 grams.

The buckle is 27.9mm in length, 18.5mm in width and 5.6mm thick. It weighs 5.3grams.

A cast copper alloy asymetrical buckle of post-medieval date. The buckle has a sub triangular extension on the semi-circular loop which tapers to a point. The rectangular loop is decorated with pairs of parallel incised lines. The upper edge of the buckle is bevelled and the reverse is undecorated. The iron pin survives and is heavily corroded. Buckles of this type date to 1575-1700, a similar example can be seen in Whitehead, p.92, no.583.
The buckle is 23.35mm in length, 15.6mm in width and 5.5mm thick. It weighs 2.1 grams.
