Fragment of a Roman silver trumpet derived bow and fantail brooch dating to the second century AD. Only the lower part (the fantail) and the catch plate survive.
Raised moulding below the break, acting as the terminus of the fantail, is decorated with two wide deep grooves and two smaller central grooves.

An incomplete silver gilt with niello and gold inlay Roman Crossbow brooch of unusual form. The upper section of the bow and the wings have been bent at a one hundred and thirty five degree angle, the pin is missing.
The wings have faceted edges and therefore have a heptagonal cross section. Iron corrosion is visible at the end of both wings. To the reverse is a slot which would have held the pin which is missing.

Description: A Medieval silver annular brooch. The brooch is circular in plan and rectangular in cross section, both the front face and reverse face are flat. The frame has a constriction for the pin, which is 22.15mm long. The pin has been folded over the frame and tapers towards the tip. The brooch is inscribed AVE MARIA GRACIA on one face, X IESVS RASARER (?) is inscribed on the other, in between each letter are four transverse incisions, it is possible the word after Jesus is meant to be Nazaren.

Description: A fragment of a silver Medieval annular brooch. The upper face is bent upwards slightly in the centre, it is decorated with heavily worn slightly raised pellets, possibly forming a quatrefoil. The reverse is bent and undecorated. A further strip of silver is attached to the reverse presumably part of a catch plate.
