A complete silver early medieval hooked tag. It has a triangular plate with a tri-lobed rear edge, each lobe pierced with a circular hole for fastening. The plate is plain, barring three incised parallel lines making the junction between plate and hook. The back is also plain. An incomplete silver gilt with niello and gold inlay Roman Crossbow brooch of unusual form. The upper section of the bow and the wings have been bent at a one hundred and thirty five degree angle, the pin is missing. The wings have faceted edges and therefore have a heptagonal cross section. Iron corrosion is visible at the end of both wings. To the reverse is a slot which would have held the pin which is missing. The bow is hemispherical, the catch plate then projects downwards at a ninety degree angle.
