To the reverse there is a raised central section with an incomplete lead alloy loop.

An incomplete cast lead button of post-medieval date. The mount is circular in plan with moulded relief decoration in the form of a lion's head surrounded by its mane. The reverse is uneven with a horizontal channel with a fragment of a loop. The button is 24.45mm in diameter, 8.9mm thick and weighs 24.12 grams.

A cast lead-alloy button of post-medieval date. The front is decorated with a raised openwork eight-spoked wheel with a central pellet. Within each section of the openwork spoked wheel is a small coating probably of enamel. The loop on the reverse has been squashed and broken due to an old break. There is a small amount of iron corrosion product on the reverse.
