The sherd has a dark grey reduced fabric, with frequent metamorphic rock inclusions. These inclusions are suggestive of the Malvernian pottery industry, and consistent with Late Iron Age to Early Roman dating (200 BC to 100 AD). The sherds are 65.9 grams in weight.

A sherd of a hand made, possibly Iron Age vessel from the 2nd century BC to the 2nd century AD. The sherds has a oxidised pale orange-red fabric with a reduced grey core. The sherd is heavily abraded have abundant mostly large, c. 3.5mm shell temper inclusions with some smaller shell pieces and a red temper inculsion and is a straight sided bodysherd. Date: 2nd Century BC - 2nd Century AD Weight: 27.2 grams
