Incomplete copper alloy Roman bow brooch. The fragment consists of part of the bow, formed from a strip of metal. The front of the bow is decorated with parallel incised grooves running down the front with fine pellet decoration. At the end is an old break which has removed the bottom of the foot.

An incomplete of a Roman cast copper alloy Hod Hill brooch, the bow and the foot survive. The bow is a strip with a rectandular cross section. It has a shallow curve in profile and generally tapers in width towards the foot. At the head of the brooch is a projecting knop on the right hand side, the left is preumably missing due to an old break. below this the bow narrows and widens before tapering to a point at the foot. A Roman incomplete cast copper alloy devolved T-shaped brooch of local type with a expanded fan shaped head plate. The head has a D shaped plate with protruding lugs on the reverse to hold the pin bar in place, which is now lost. The bow has a rectangular cross section. It projects outwards at 90 degrees from the head before curving inwards. The bow tapers towards the foot and is broken just before the foot, the lower section survives. Foot and lower part of the bow of a cast copper alloy Roman bow brooch. The upper part of the bow, pin and head are missing with an old break at the top. The bow is oval in cross section and the reverse is convex. At the top of the surviving section of the bow is a small triangular indentation just before the break. Below this are four raised parallel horizontal ridges. The bow tapers to a point at the foot. The catchplate survives on the reverse of the bow.
The brooch is 26.45mm long, 8mm wide, 8.65mm thick including the catchplate and weighs 2.44 grams.

Late Iron Age or early Roman copper alloy brooch of La Tene III, Nauheim derivative type dated to c.30-70 AD. The brooch head, spring and pin are mostly missing to an old break with only two loops of the spring remaining on one side. The bow is circular in cross section and protrudes from the spring at a 90 degree angle. The bow immediatly thickens to 4.40mm before slowly tapering towards the break.
The foot and catchplate are missing from an old break and it is 2.1mm wide at the break. It is 37.35mm long and weighs 4.3 grams.

Late Iron Age or early Roman copper alloy brooch of La Tene III, Nauheim derivative type dated to c.30-70 AD. The brooch head, spring and pin are mostly missing to an old break with only one loop of the spring remaining on one side. The bow is flat with rounded edges, the tip is bent upwards slightly where the break has occured. It widens immediately from the head to 5.3mm wide by 1.05mm thick and then tapers in width gradually towards the break.
The foot and catchplate are missing from an old break and it is 6.1mm wide at the break. It is 33.55mm long and weighs 1.79 grams.

Roman complete cast copper alloy T-shaped brooch dating to the late first to early second century AD. The head has two cylindrical wings to hold the axis bar for the hinged pin, the pin survives but has been bent. There is a white material in the perforation for the axis bar on the two wings. The wings are undecorated. There is an complete loop at the head of the brooch which has been bent backwards slightly. There is a vestigial plate just below the loop.

An incomplete copper alloy trumpet derivative brooch. The object survives in very fine condition, the head of the brooch, the bow above the petalling and the pin are missing. The bow is sub-oval in cross section with a central acanthus flower with three raised ridges, extending only half-way around the brooch. A Roman cast copper-alloy Dolphin type brooch with hinged pin dating to c. AD 55-100. The brooch has a cylindrical head with open ends, a iron axis bar for the hinge runs through from end to end. There is a large transverse slot on the underside where the pin hinges, part of the pin survives. The plain, oval sectioned bow rises at 90 degrees to the head before gently curving down to the foot which is now missing.
