A near complete copper-alloy brooch of Colchester derivative Polden Hill (flat wing ends type), cf. Mackreth 2011, 5.a3. Plate 50. Roman date (80-120AD). In plan, the brooch is T-shaped, and semi-circular in cross section. The bow head is humped and angular in profile, with cylindrical wings projecting from either side at the top. The projects out of the head at a ninety degree angle before running down to the foot. The wings of the brooch are undecorated. Each of the wings has a sub circular wing cap which is raised. A corroded incomplete Late Iron Age/ early Roman (AD 20-80) copper- alloy Colchester one-piece brooch missing most of the catchplate. The wings are flat and rectangular are 15.25mm wide. No decoration is visible on the bow. Behind the wings, the undamaged spring chord is held by a forward-facing hook, the pin is bent inwards. The catchplate is mostly missing The brooch is 51.25mm long and weighs 8.2g.

An incomplete Roman (AD 43-70) copper-alloy tinned Hod Hill brooch,consisting of the bow, foot and catchplate only. The wings of the brooch are missing. The bow is bent inwards at the old break before expanding outwards slightly towards the two knops. The left side knop is missing but the right side knop survives. The bow tapers below the two knops towards the foot. The bow is decorated with two raised vertical ridges which terminate just below the knop. A fragment of Roman (AD 43-70) copper alloy Hod Hill type brooch, consisting of damaged wings and top of bow only. The slightly worn wings, c.17.95 mm in width have a recess in the centre for the pin, the brooch tapers towards the bow which is 10.7mm in width and curves forward slightly below the curled forward wings. The bow is decorated with a horizontal ridge with two veritcal ribs below. The jagged break is old. The brooch is 21.75mm in length, 17.1mm wide, 3.5mm thick and weighs 2.3 grams. A copper-alloy fragment, possibly of a Roman brooch. The fragment bears similarities to a trumpet or hod hill brooch, only a section of what would be the bow survives with an expanded centre in the centre similar to an acanthus flower from a trumpet brooch. Both incomplete expansions of the artefact have three horizontal ridges. The reverse has horizontal ridges running along the length of the artefact, the tip of the reverse has a vertical ridge which may be part of the catch plate. A cast copper alloy trumpet brooch of Roman date. The bow head has no wings and in plan the bow head is a horizontal oval. The bow head has a number of transverse incisions above the bow below the lug, there is a small perforation on one of the incisions. The upper edge has a trace of a decorated integral lug, originally a fixed headloop. On the reverse of the bow head there are two vertical sub-oval integral lugs with a central perforation. A fragment of a cast copper alloy Aesica (Crescent type) brooch of Roman date, (AD 50 - AD 75). Much of the semi-cylindrical wings are lost as well as the chord-hook that would have retained an external chord. The bow is strongly arched. Traces of vertical ribbing are barely visible on the front face of the bow, one raised vertical rib has a horizontal rib at the tip. The crescent type plate is incomplete the fan tail tip is missing.
