An incomplete Neolithic knapped flint axe, consisting of the broken butt-end of the axehead (c. 3500-2100 BC). Type A. The remains are sub-triangular in plan, with a narrowed, almost pointed butt end and a small portion of the axe body. The axehead has been well-knapped over both surfaces and there are extensive covering removals. It has a lentoid cross-section. A break, likely due to use, has fractured the axehead and the latter portion of the tool including the rounded cutting edge is now missing; the remaining portion probably consists of between 1/3-1/2 of the original length, but…

A flint scraper of sub-circular form of probable Neolithic date. The ventral face has a prominent removal scar at the bulb of percussion. There are five main longitudinal flake scars on the dorsal face. The main area of retouch is on the dorsal face on the right hand edge, fairly central (mesial). This flint is a light grey-brown colour.

A possible Mesolithic flint scraper of irregular five-sided form. The ventral face has some fairly heavy angled removals, possibly post-depositional damage. There are three longitudinal flake scars on the dorsal face. The main area of retouch is on the dorsal face on the right hand edge, some quite abrupt, with a remnant of cortex above. There are further, less obvious retouch marks on the distal end (left side) of the same face. This flint is largely grey-brown, with a light-grey area.

A pair of Mesolithic tertiary waste flakes with evidence of retouching. One is broadly L-shaped (38.3 by 34.6 by 13.1mm; W.: 11.76g), the shape in part created by the formation of a notch in the crook of the flake through abrupt retouch. It has scarring around a prominent bulb of percussion (image above). The second piece is sub-rectangular in plan with a rounded distal end (47.8 by 26.3 by 13.0mm (max.); W.: 11.58).
