Three Mesolithic flint cores, numbers refer to those on photograph. 1)Mesolithic core (8300-3500 BC) weighing 35.53g. The core has been worked from multiple striking platforms, both at its proximal (butt) and distal (point) ends. There are scars where flakes have been removed at the distal end of the dorsal surface (upper face) and the proximal end of the ventral surface (lower face). There is also some natural cortex which survives along the right edge of the ventral surface. The flint is a pale brownish grey with some iron staining and has small chert inclusions. Mesolithic core (8300-3500 BC). At the proximal end the core shows signs of preparation and some of the natural cortex still survives on the surface of the flint. A flake has been removed form another of the flints surfaces leaving a deep rounded scar or hinge termination, this is due to the wrong angle of blow and lack of further platform preparation. The flint is a brownish-white and has small chert inclusions.

The flint is a mid whitish-blue colour. Some of the natural cortex still survives on the surface of the flint. It is suggested the core had been utilised for the production of microliths.

Neolithic thumb scraper (3500 - 2100 BC). On the ventral surface the bulb of percussion and the striking platform are not visible due to retouch, possibly indicating the multiple use of the tool. However the waves of percussion are evident and there is some possible retouch along the right mesial. The dorsal surface has been heavily retouched at the butt of the tool, which implies it was mainly used as a scraper. Mesolithic rejuvenation core flake (8300-3500 BC). The dorsal surface has multiple arrises and scars due to the removal of flakes. At the distal end some of the natural cortex survives. On the ventral surface the waves or ripples radiate from the proximal end however the bulb of percussion is not evident possibly due to the removal of redundant striking platforms. The rejuvenated striking platform shows multiple signs of preparation and at the distal end there are bulbous scars, suggesting an attempt was made to remove flakes from more than one platform on the core.
