Cast copper alloy Late Medieval or Post medieval mount. The mount is lozenge shaped in plan and flat in section. It is decorated to the front with a raised moulded robed figure standing next to an altar-like object. The figure appears to be holding a staff and it is not clear whether it is male or female. The scene is within a grooved border, which contains a small trace of black enamel. Tint fragments of gilt survive on the figure and in the field surrounding. Complete cast copper alloy mount, possibly Roman. The mount is sub rectangular in plan and flat in section. To one end of the mount is an integral moulded band, 6.32mm long, trapezoidal in shape and slightly thicker than the main body. The main body of the mount then expands from the broad edge of the band for 11.58mm. At the end of the main body is a bifurcated sub oval knop, 8.98mm long. Both the front and reverse of the mount is plain. To the rear of the mount, extending from the rear of the moulded band is a triangular shank, flat in section and 2mm thick.
