A copper-alloy thimble, with a suggested Post-Medieval manufacturing date c. AD 1500 - 1600. From the centre of it's top, a pattern of pits radiates outwards circulating in a clockwise direction, and then down the side of the thimble's body. A small copper-alloy "beehive" Medieval thimble dating from the 14th - 15th centuries AD. It is covered with small pits, quite shallow in depth in places, which radiate and circle down from a hole in it's top / centre. It has suffered compression damage in antiquity, and is cracked from it's base nearly to the top. There are the beginnings of three shorter cracks also around the bottom edge. There is no Makers mark on it's surface.

A copper-alloy Thimble from a Post Medieval date c: AD 1500 - 1600. It has suffered compression damage to it's top and body, which has three separate vertical cracks from it's bottom edge upwards. A pattern of stamped pits starts in the middle of the top, (diameter 14.52mm), and radiates out to it's edge. Then six rows of stamped pits spiral down it's sides in a clock-wise direction towards it's base. A plain band 2.75mm wide circles it's base edge. In spite of the damage it has accrued in antiquity, it is in fair condition.
