A copper alloy mount dating to the Medieval-Post Medieval period. The mount is sub oval in shape, on either end there are two curves and then a point around the perimeter of the object. In the centre of the object is an ellipse in plan. The front face is decorated with incised lines and appears to be gilded. The reverse is undecorated, but there are two protrusions at either end, one is rectangular and the other is rectangular and curved. It weighs 2.5g and measures 42.78mm in length, 11.62mm in width and 1.31mm in thickness.

A lead cloth seal of the two disc type and dating to the Post Medieval period. The object is sub oval in plan and is well preserved and the decoration is now very faint. On one side there is written the number 10, the decoration on the other side is in the shape of a heart. The metal is white in colour and the object weighs 1.8g. It measures 10.37mm in diameter and 3.44mm in thickness. The seal is probably an example of either a weaver's, clothier's and searcher's personal seals. See Saunders, P. A copper alloy knife stop dating to the Medieval period. The stop is in the shape of a bird, possibly a parrot. The decoration is on both sides and includes a perforation for the eye of the bird and an open beak. Red colouring has been used to create the feather decoration. The object is hollow inside and there is a perforation where the body of the bird would have been. A copper alloy strap end dating to the Anglo Saxon period (750-1100). The object is parrallel sided, with only one decorated side. It comprises of a split end with a tapering shaft and a terminal with cross-hatch decoration. The split end has two circular rivet holes that are missing the rivets. A lead figurine in the shape of an African person's head, with a sub rectangular shank protruding where the body should be. The head is slightly upturned and there is appears to be a carved hat on top of the head. The face is carved into the lead and a neck is apparent. It weighs 82.7g and measures 62.99mm in length, the head is 19.12mm wide and the face is 24.48mm thick. Several similar objects can be found on this database (e.g. NARC-DC03B3, KENT5054, IOW-B47783, SWYOR-790331). They come from the lids of tobacco jars and probably date to the 18th century.

Rev legend: CHRISTO AVSPICE REGNO im=(R), this type of privvy mark normally dates to 1644-5, so the coin would have copied after this date. As it's a copy it's hard to match up with a specific North number, but it is probably a copy of Group III.

Rim fragment of a Medieval pottery vessel, probably a jug. The fabric is cream coloured with an inner core of black. There appear to be some small inclusions of a brown colour. The rim is slightly widened compared to the rest of the vessel, with a square shaped rim. The wall of the vessel is beginning to curve outwards but has broken before it goes far. The handle begins almost immediately after the rim, sticking out at 90 degrees to the vessel wall, but only a small fragment remains before it has broken.

Four disc lead late Medieval- Post Medieval cloth seal, unused, dating to 1400- 1800. It is complete, and has been folded in half, but not put together, and not stamped with any design. Disc 1 has the conical stud on the reverse, which fits through the hole of Disc 4. The seal has been folded at the connecting strip between Discs 2 and 3. Each of the discs is sub-circular. Without any markings on it is not possible to date this example more closely as cloth seals were used over a long period of time.

Lead Medieval spindle whorl. It is circular in plan, with a central circular hole. It is biconical with decoration in relief on both faces with the same decoration. This consists of triangles around the central hole, inside of each is a dot. The outer edge is decorated with a border of two lines running round the edge, connected by a series of small lines.

Copper alloy head of a Roman trumpet brooch, dating to c. 75- 175 AD. It is a large, and slightly unusual variety and unfortunately is quite corroded. It is a sprung type, with huge coils, four complete and two which are broken. The wire then threads through the coils. The central broken coil would have extended to the pin but that is now gone.
