A lead spindle whorl dating to the Post Medieval period. The spindle whorl is circular in plan with a central circular perforation. It is convex and one side is decorated with raised dots and lines. The other side is decorated with V shaped lines stemming from the centre of the object out to the perimeter. There are a series of these V shapes, one inside the other. The metal is grey in colour and the object weighs 26.1g and measures 29.02mm in diameter and 8.98mm in thickness.

Lead Medieval spindle whorl. It is circular in plan, with a central circular hole. It is biconical with decoration in relief on both faces with the same decoration. This consists of triangles around the central hole, inside of each is a dot. The outer edge is decorated with a border of two lines running round the edge, connected by a series of small lines.

Lead Medieval spindle whorl. Circular in plan with a central circular perforation. It is biconical with cast decoration on both faces. One side has diagonal lines from the centre to the edge, creating triangular cells, inside of each of which there is a circular pellet. The other side is slightly less clear, almost looking like a repeating pattern of VIVIVI all the way around. There are examples of spindle whorls with writing and pseudo-writing on, this could be another one.

It has raised decoration on both faces, which appears to be the same. The other side has the appearance of of one smaller disk unevenly stacked upon the base and has a patchy dark-grey/light-grey patina. It has an orange-brown patina and one side has remains of a decorative pattern of circles or diamonds with dots in the middle in relief all the way round. Pottery spindle whorl, Roman- Medieval in date. The whorl has been formed from a piece of pottery cut from a vessek- probably when the vessel broke. It is circular in plan with a central circular perforation. It is flat on both sides with rounded edges. The fabric of the pottery is black on one side and brown/grey on the other. It is not clear if the black is the actual colour of the fabric or is due to wear/dirt. The fabric is smooth and has few inclusions.
