Rolled lead sheet which has formed a pencil/stylus type object.
The lead has been rolled to form a cylindrical shape with a pointed end. The two edges can be seen where they haven't quite met, leaving a groove. The pencil has been bent in the middle. This is a proto-pencil dating to the late medieval period which could have been used for marking paper or cloth.
