Bone comb dating to the 17/18th century. The comb is mostly complete and has teeth on both sides. There is a central solid band from which the teeth come. One side is more delicate, with thinner teeth. The comb has broken at one end. At each there should be a section which finishes the comb off and this is missing at one end.
Similar combs are illustrated in MacGregor (1985) p. 80, fig. 47; he dates this type with slender cross-section to the post-medieval period, 16th to 18th century.
