A lead token dating to the Post Medieval period. The token is circular in plan and decorated on both sides. There is a depiction of a serpent in raised decoration on one side. The other side depicts a central square with a central dot, on each side of the square is a cross. This side of the token is possibly imitating a Medieval coin, but it is inderminate what the serpent is for. The token weighs 2.0g and measures 14.18mm in diameter and 1.92mm in thickness.

A lead spindle whorl dating to the Post Medieval period. The spindle whorl is circular in plan with a central circular perforation. It is convex and one side is decorated with raised dots and lines. The other side is decorated with V shaped lines stemming from the centre of the object out to the perimeter. There are a series of these V shapes, one inside the other. The metal is grey in colour and the object weighs 26.1g and measures 29.02mm in diameter and 8.98mm in thickness.

A lead button dating to the Post Medieval period. The button is circular in plan with a cast integral shank on the reverse. Only the front face is decorated, it is possible to see the moulded image of a face with long hair, possibly wearing a crown. The edges of the button have been damaged and are bent out of shape in places. The metal is white in colour and is extremely thin. A lead cloth seal of the two disc type and dating to the Post Medieval period. The object is sub oval in plan and is well preserved and the decoration is now very faint. On one side there is written the number 10, the decoration on the other side is in the shape of a heart. The metal is white in colour and the object weighs 1.8g. It measures 10.37mm in diameter and 3.44mm in thickness. The seal is probably an example of either a weaver's, clothier's and searcher's personal seals. See Saunders, P. It has two cylindrical protrusions on the reverse that have been bent out of shape, but would have been used to attach the button to clothing. A lead vessel mount dating to the Medieval period. The mount is curved in plan and rectangular in section. At one end there is a carved lion's head that includes facial features and ears. A pattern of incised diagonal lines at either side of an incised central line continue along the length of the object. It weighs 88.9g and measures 52.34mm in length and 11.36mm in width. The diameter of the lion's head is 20.33mm and the thickness is 7.35mm. The metal is grey in colour.

A lead figurine in the shape of an African person's head, with a sub rectangular shank protruding where the body should be. The head is slightly upturned and there is appears to be a carved hat on top of the head. The face is carved into the lead and a neck is apparent. It weighs 82.7g and measures 62.99mm in length, the head is 19.12mm wide and the face is 24.48mm thick. Several similar objects can be found on this database (e.g. NARC-DC03B3, KENT5054, IOW-B47783, SWYOR-790331). They come from the lids of tobacco jars and probably date to the 18th century.

A lead object, possibly a stamp of some kind, possibly dating to the Roman period. The object is oval in plan and sub rectangular in section. On one of the oval faces the object is decorated with three circles in a line. There is possibly some other symbols inside the circles although the object is quite worn and this is difficult to tell. The rest of the object is undecorated and has been chipped in places. The metal is dark grey and brown. It measures 31.4mm in length, 19.04mm in width and 18.7mm in height, it measures 46.4g in mass.

Four disc lead late Medieval- Post Medieval cloth seal, unused, dating to 1400- 1800. It is complete, and has been folded in half, but not put together, and not stamped with any design. Disc 1 has the conical stud on the reverse, which fits through the hole of Disc 4. The seal has been folded at the connecting strip between Discs 2 and 3. Each of the discs is sub-circular. Without any markings on it is not possible to date this example more closely as cloth seals were used over a long period of time.

Powder was most likely scooped into the top box section before pouring. The shaft may have been to fit it into something or to stand it up.
