A copper alloy strap end dating to the Anglo Saxon period (750-1100). The object is parrallel sided, with only one decorated side. It comprises of a split end with a tapering shaft and a terminal. The split end has two circular rivet holes that still contain the rivets. One side of the terminal is decorated with geometric patterns enclosed in geometric boders. A copper alloy pin that dates to the middle Anglo-Saxon period. The pin is polyhedral in shape, with circles on each of the faces as decoration. The shaft stems from the bottom of the head, but is broken about halfway down. Where the break is the pin has also been bent out of shape. The metal is green in colour with some areas covered in soil. It weighs 3.0g and measures 33.75mm in length and the head is 7.6mm thick. The main panel of the scabbard consists of two openwork plates of equal form, which are joined by a folded connection strip, located at the far end. Fixed to the opposite end of the connection strip is a pair of parallel-sided arms angled upwards in a diagonal line. Surface metal analysis conducted at the British Museum indicated an approximate gold content for the strip of 92-94%, with a silver content of 5-6%, the remainder being copper; it weighs 1.57 grams. The find consists of a length of narrow gold strip of triangular section with punched decoration of apex-to-apex triangles along the top ridge; it is broken at both ends; length, 32.5 mm. Cast copper alloy Early Medieval buckle dating to c. 900- 1100 AD. It is D-shaped in plan with a narrowed strap bar. The terminals of the loop are zoomorphic in form with the strap bar connecting two heads of animals, their mouths are open, almost as though they are biting the bar. Copper alloy tweezers on a circular ring, probably Early Medieval in date, c. 600- 1100 AD. The ring is plain and appears to have been cast, it has a circular cross section. The diameter of the ring is 21.63mm with a thickness of 2.66mm. The tweezers themselves are symmetrical and have been attached to the ring by folding in half, over the ring. They have a D-shaped cross section, with the flat side facing inwards, most of the way down, until they being to widen, and flatten out at the terminals. Cast copper alloy bow of an Early-Medieval key, c.900-1100. The bow would have been sub-circular in plan but large sections of it are missing. It had an openwork design and small rounded knops on the outer edge, only one of which now remains. The actual design of the openwork is not clear due to breaks but there is a circular hole below the one remaining knop.
