Broad period: POST MEDIEVAL
County: York
Workflow stage: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation
Cast copper alloy handle from Post Medieval furniture. Only a fragment remains, both ends being broken. In the centre is a sphere with a moulded collar at each end. From one collar extends a cylindrical bar straight out, broken shortly after. From the other collar the handle bends at 90 degrees upwards, then 90 degrees again to form the horizontal bar. This section is square in section and again has broken after only a short piece. It would have been a handle from a small drawer.
