The upper surface is sub oval in shape, with a rounded edge, and a concave surface. The surface shows concentric rings where the lead alloy has cooled during the casting process. Below this, the jet narrows to a blunt point where it has been cut away from the main casting. There is evidence of several runners also projecting from this point. A cast lead-alloy ball of probable mid 17th century date. Description: The lead shot is roughly spherical but has multiple ridges and uneven indentations covering most of its surface. Measurements: Diameter at widest point 13.1mm: Weight 7.48g. Discussion: The damage appears to be teeth marks and Harding, 2012 suggests that they are caused by marks left after chewing the ball, possibly by animals post-deposition (Harding 2012).

A cast lead-alloy spindle whorl dating to the medieval period. Description: The whorl is unevenly cast and cylindrical with flat sides and a central moulded aperture of diameter 10.65mm. One face is slightly domed and the opposite face is concave with a moulded pattern of five, straight, raised lines, overlapping at their ends to create a pentagon. A cast lead-alloy object of unknown date and function. The object consists of two circular discs joined by a narrow, central column, 3.95mm in diameter. The discs are biconvex and the central column is hexagonal in section. Both discs are undecorated but there are the remains of a circular-sectioned iron projection, 2mm in diameter, exiting the centre of the lower disc, possibly the remains of a pin shank. This may be an elaborate pin head or a decorative stud but it's function remains unconfirmed.

It is circular in plan and flat with a circular perforation at its centre, which would have contained a rivet or the shank of the button. Surrounding the central hole are incised concentric circles, evenly spaced apart going to the edge of the object. There are four on one face and five on the other. The object is damaged and a piece of the edge is missing. Diameter: 23mm; thickness: 1mm. Weight: 6.19g.

A probable mount of probable late medieval to early post-medieval date. the object consists of a cast lead-alloy head with a domed top and flat base. The centre of the domed top has a circular pellet cast into it with seven, equally-spaced incised, lines radiating from it to the outer edge. Projecting from the centre of the base is an iron shank. This shank is extremely corroded and its true profile cannot be established. This object may be a mount from a box or a furniture mount.

A post-Medieval, cast lead-alloy button, The button is circular in plan, slightly domed on the front and slightly concave on the back. There is a distinct casting seam running across the back of the button and along the loop. The upper surface has a cast relief decoration. A pellet marks the centre of the head and this is surrounded by two, concentric circles of inwardly-facing crescents creating a scale-like or petal-like effect. An integral loop extends from the centre of the back of the button.
