Treasure case 2010 T509; Bronze Age metalwork hoard with associated pottery from the Burnham-on-Crouch area. Method of discovery: metal detector / archaeological investigation. Items at all stages of discovery by four finders were reported to the Essex FLO. Upon discovery of an insitu pottery vessel, metal detecting ceased, and the finders contacted the Essex FLO to organise an archaeological excavation to recover and identify any remaining insitu items.
