A copper-alloy, post-medieval, quartefoil mount with two integral rivet spikes on the back. The mount is an openwork cross fleuretty in shape with a centeral lozenge. The cross arms are linked at the centre by a lozenge and the outer petals of the fleurs at each cross end also join, leaving oval openwork between, one mis-cast. The four foil or feurs are shaped like flowers with the centre multiplied into a fan of three pointed oval petals flanked by down curling leaves. The back is flat and plain. An incomplete Medieval copper alloy composite buckle with forked spacer. The plates, pin and part of the frame with forked spacer are all present. The outer edge and one side of the probably oval frame are missing to a patinated break. The remaining section of frame is triangular in cross section with a flat back. The shape of the spacer is hidden by the front and back plates which abut the thickened bar on the inner side of the buckle frame at the start of the spacer. A cast copper-alloy handle lug probably from a chafing dish handle of Late Medieval or Post-Medieval date (AD 1400 - AD 1650). The lug is irregular in outline and rectangular in cross section with rounded corners. It has is widened slightly at one end beyond which is the stub of a circular rivet which would have attached to the vessel wall. The centre is widened into an oval with a circular hole through it to hold the handle. Scottish Medieval silver groat of David II (1329-71) dating to AD 1357/8 to 1367. Second coinage, Class D3. Minted at Edinburgh. Spink 5101. The coin has bent along one edge and torn at the bend. Medieval cast copper-alloy rotary key for a small lock, probably on a casket. The key has a flattened circular bow, a shank with an oval cross section and a simple rectangular bit with a small notch cut into each side. There is a small, pointed projection at the end of the shank. The key is 42.4mm long, the bow is 15.9mm wide by 2.1mm thick, the shaft 4.9mm by 3.8mm and the bit 8.1mm long by 7.6mm wide; it weighs 4.75grams. The frame is undecorated. The pin is formed of a simple strip of copper alloy sheet of even width wrapped around the frame and extending into the centre before ending in an old break. A cast lead-alloy cap from a post-medieval powder measure dating to the 17th or 18th century. It has straight sides that widen slightly towards the open base where there is a raised mouth moulding. The slightly oval top has a central raised pellet with surrounded by a slightly recessed circle. Where the sides meet the top there are two integral attachment loops, one on each side, bent down slightly to meet the sides. There is a hole at the side where the other attachment loop is missing. Part of the side and mouth of a Late Bronze Age socketed axe, probably of the Ewart park phase 950-750 BC. The fragment consists of the mouth moulding and adjacent part of one side with very worn breaks around all edges. At one point he edge has bent at 90 degrees to continue onto the front or back face before breaking. At the mouth is a thick triangular cross sectioned mouth moulding then a smaller, shallow D-shaped cross section moulding.
