Medieval, copper-alloy, large, circular mount depicting the white boar of Richard III, dating to the later 15th century (1470-1485). The mount is gilded, silvered and enamelled and consists of two parts: a decorated disc held in a separate circular frame which has integral rivets and separate roves. The 63.4mm diameter disc has a slightly raised design of a boar walking left on an area of ground. Part of a large, Early Medieval gilded copper alloy sheet mount with slightly concave sides and chip carved spiralling interlace decoration, probably of 8th century date. The fragment has part of one long edge which has a shallow, concave, curve. A copper-alloy, post-medieval, quartefoil mount with two integral rivet spikes on the back. The mount is an openwork cross fleuretty in shape with a centeral lozenge. The cross arms are linked at the centre by a lozenge and the outer petals of the fleurs at each cross end also join, leaving oval openwork between, one mis-cast. The mount has a moulded, decorated front with a interlaced six pointed star (Seal of Solomon) filling most of the field. In the cell in the centre of the star is an enface lions head. A Roman, cast, copper-alloy vessel mount or tripod mount in the form of the bust of a young Nero probably dating to AD 49 to 60. The object appears to be solid with an integral attachment at the back. The bust is shown wearing a cloak over both shoulders.
