Medieval silver penny of Edward II dating to the period AD 1312 to 1314. Edwardian Class 10cf1/11b3 mule. Minted at Canterbury. North (1991:32-36) no. 1040 / 10651/3. The crown and face are of the style of 10cf1 while the reverse lettering, in particular the angle backed C's is of the style of Class 11b. The obverse lettering is unusual, in particular the S and appears not to be of Class 10cf1. It may be another unusual mule like Class 11d.
