This coin has suffered numerous significant breaks around one part of its circumference equating to around 25% of the flan. It weighs 1.27g.

RESTITVTOR ORBIS reverse type depicting the Emperor standing left holding spear and raising kneeling female. Mint of Rome. Cunetio 495 (p. 98). The flan is oval and elongated with the design struck within a circular border and the flan not then trimmed. It measures 26.1mm by 20.9mm by 1.7mm. Measuring across the border gives a diameter of c. 20.1mm. The coin weighs 3.27g.

An incomplete post medieval coin counter stamped on the reverse with a fleur de lys inside an oval stamp. There is a trace of lead on one side. This is probably a douzain of Louis XIII of France. Such a countermark of a fleur de lis in oval of pellets revalued the coin at 15 deniers under Louis XIII during the ordinance of June 1640.

A very worn and slightly bent 17th-century base silver post-medieval threepence issued by colony of Massachusetts, North America, 'Pine tree' type, dated 1652 AD on the coin (KM# 11/12). Though dated '1652', such coins tend to be attributed to the period c. 1667 - c. 1674 AD. All 'pine tree' issues show the date 1652 owing to the fact that the colony understood it had no rights to mint coinage, perhaps wanting to create the illusion it only minted during the period immediately after the Civil War.
