A copper-alloy Roman bow brooch fragment consisting of the catchplate and lower part of the bow. The remaining bow tapers to a pointed foot. The catchplate is unperforated and has a rolled outer side. The style and shape suggest a T-shape brooch of c.AD 50-125. It is of cast construction and has a matt green patina. A cast copper-alloy horse harness pendant of Roman date,circa late 2nd to 3rd century. The pendant has a heart shaped upper section with a down facing chevron where the suspension loop joins. The terminal end is trefoil shaped with a chevron facing upwards. The suspension loop is oval with little wear, but the loop has cracked in antiquity. The pendant has a black patina with patches of copper-alloy showing through. Dimensions are; Length 39.5 mm. Width 16 mm. Thickness 3 mm. Weight 5.942 grams.

A post-medieval copper-alloy rumbler or crotal bell with the lower half missing. The bell originally had a spherical chamber.The surviving upper half has a square suspension loop and two sound holes of c.7 mm in diameter. The bell has broken just below the casting ridge. The missing lower section would normally consist of two further sound holes joined by a rectangular slit. Internally, most of these bells have a unattached iron pea to create the sound. Medieval copper-alloy harness pendant in the form of a quatrefoil with cusps between the lobes. The design to the centre depicts a lion passant guardant within a square field. A complete lozenge-shaped copper alloy harness pendant from the medieval period (c. 13th-14th century). The pendant bears the arms, Gules a cross or fretty cantonned by four mullets or (a red field divided by a cross-hatched cross, with a mullet of six points (pierced star) in each quarter); these arms have so far not been traced. The suspension loop is set at ninety degrees to the pendant and is slightly bent, but complete with a circular aperture. The length of the pendant is 37.67 mm with a width of 29.02 mm. and a thickness of 2.9 mm. The object weighs 8.797 g.

An enamelled copper-alloy object, probably representing a medieval harness pendant of circa 1300-1450 .The object is circular, of flat section, with two opposing attachment loops to the external edge. One loop is incomplete, probably due to wear. The red enamel remaining occupies the fields around a plain, double-stranded cross fleuretty which would originally have been gilded or silvered.The red enamel has disintegrated and is in a poor state. The back is plain. This is probably the central piece in a three-part harness pendant. Diameter: 21.35 mm. Thickness: 1.92 mm. Weight: 4.159 grams.

A probable copper-alloy Roman nail-cleaner with exuberant neck decoration. The object has a flat-sectioned body which is of truncated-lozenge shape, with bands of decorative horizontal grooves at the top and bottom ends. In between these bands is a pattern of incised chevrons. This decoration covers both surfaces of the body. At the top of the object is a loop with rounded side and sub-circular perforation. The nail holes are small and rectangular with a recess to accept T-shaped nails, the three surviving nail heads suggest the use of spike nails (also known as a frost nail): There are three nail holes to each branch and the frog is arched,with the heels inclined. A corroded and worn iron tongue type horseshoe of post-Medieval date. The shoe has an arched frog with the heels inclined . Both heels are thickened, with no evidence of calkins and there is a fuller to the left branch. The shoe has three rectangular nail holes to each branch,with two T-shaped nail nail heads surviving in the left branch. This is probably a saddle shoe. Ivan G. Sparkes dates these to circa 1650 to 1800.

A incomplete and worn/corroded type 2 horseshoe from the medieval period of c.900-c.1050. Only the left branch survives and has four punched sub-rectangular holes which has expanded the outer edge leaving a wavy outer outline. One nail is still in situ and is of the fiddle key type and the heel has a folded calkin. The dimensions are: Length: 113.33 mm. Thickness: 6.99 mm. Weight: 88 grams. Reference: John Clark. A corroded medieval iron horseshoe fragment of the wavy-rimmed type (Clark type 2B) (c. 12th-13th century). This fragment forms part of the left branch with two oval nail holes and calkin present. Ivan G Sparkes (9-10) notes that this would of been attached with fiddle-headed nails and although they sat within the countersunk depressions, the nail heads still protruded by almost half their length. A complete but damaged cast copper-alloy spherical animal "crotal" bell from the Post-Medieval period of circa AD 1600-1800. The upper and lower hemispheres are divided by a prominant circumferential joining rib. The upper hemisphere has two circular sound holes about mid-way either side of the sub-rectangular suspension loop.The lower hemisphere has a worn sunburst pattern and possibly a faint W foundry mark.
