Copper alloy cruciform harness pendant dating from the medieval period, probably c. 13th-14th century AD. The object survives intact and in fair condition except for the suspension loop which would have extended outwards from one of the arms. The object is a cruciform mount/pendant with four arms and a flat, square centre. Fragment of a copper alloy terret ring dating from the early Roman period, probably 1st-2nd century AD. Only the bottom quarter of the terret survives. The upper part of the loop is broken off and it is uncertain whether this may have been a plain or possibly a lipped or knobbed terret. The two mouldings at the base of the arms survive with some damage and the central bottom section does, too. Whilst the surviving arms of the loop have a circular cross section, the bottom section is flat and has a rectangular cross section. It is tapers to a flat point at the bottom.

Complete copper alloy terret ring dating from the early Roman period, probably 1st-2nd century AD. The terret is formed of a large oval loop with an oval section and a much smaller integral semi-circular loop below through which the strap would have run. There is a moulded collar around the bottom of the larger loop, separating it from the smaller loop. The larger loop is oval with a circular cross-section all around but the top is much thinner than the bottom of the ring. This might indicate some wear from the leather rein or strap that ran through it. Numerous similar terret r…

A gilded cast copper alloy pendant dating from the early medieval period, that is the 9th century AD. The artefact survives almost complete, although it is a reworked object that does not survive in its original, larger, form. The fragment was broken off a larger object and shows signs of having been reworked into its current shape, which is probably that of a pendant. All edges are rough to the touch but the original break occurred at what is now the bottom of the pendant. The flat sides (top and sides) are smoother than the break and show possibly previous tinning. The current sh…

Copper-alloy finger ring, probably dating from the medieval period, that is c. 12th-15th century AD. The finger ring is bent but complete, with a rough surface and olive-brown patina. It may have had flattened shoulders and a rectangular bezel. It probably bore incised decoration but the bezel is too worn and the motif can no longer be identified. A castccopper-alloy swivel fitting dating from the medieval period, that is c. 11th-15th century. The artefact consists of at least four conjoined elements. At the centre of the swivel fitting is a large, presumably mostly hollow copper-alloy sphere. It has two large opposing perforations/hole into which, on each side, a smaller rivet or shank has been inserted. These "block-like" fittings cannot be pulled out; presumably, their terminals inside the sphere had been flatted or enlarged to keep the fitting in place. However, they are loose fitting enough to be able to turn around 360…
