Obverse: [LVD XIIII] D G FR ET [N] R; Cross formed of four groups of two l backed, each arm being crowned and cutting the legend, quartered of four lilies diverging from the centre; the workshop letter in a circle in the heart of the cross. A fragment of a post-Medieval cast copper-alloy pair of dividers (c. 1600-c. 1700). This fragment is the lower part of one of the arms and consists of the point and a small portion of the outer curving part. It is sub-triangular in cross-section throughout its length, flat on the inner face. Between the point and the curving part, on the outer faces, there is a prominent transverse rib. This object has small flecks of a dark green patina and is mainly covered with superficial copper-alloy corrosion products. Where the metal is not obscured, it is a drab light brown colour. A cast copper alloy casting jet of probable Late Bronze Age (1150 BC – 800 BC). Length: 22.1mm; width: 16.7mm and 13.5mm thick. Weight: 11.96g. The object is roughly funnel-shaped and has a flat sub-oval head indented with shallow grooves which largely emanate from the centre. These features were probably created when the molten metal was solidifying. At the centre of the underside there is a single sprue (feeder).
