Two ceramic vessel sherds. Two base sherds from wheel thrown pots with internal glaze. The larger sherd has a creamy white matrix with no notable inclusions and is probably a piece of Surrey White Ware. It has a bright green glaze. The second smaller sherd has an orange-buff exterior and a pale grey core. The green glaze therefore takes on a mid green-brown in colouration. Both sherds could plausibly be from chamber pots or some similar domestic item.

Late Medieval to early Post Medieval cooking pot vessel sherds. There are 10 rim sherds, 15 body sherds and 1 base sherd. The vessels are very well made although two pieces have crude circular piercings (c.10mm in diameter) that may have formed part of a strainer. The matrix has a mid-grey core with exteriors ranging from pink-orange buff to a darker grey-red colour - some pots have heavy soot deposits. Crushed shell & flint inclusions are considerable in their quantity and there has been some loss of organic inclusions evident by the voids.
The vessels have been dated 1400-1650.…
