A copper alloy Post medieval foreign coin; a Courte of the Spanish Netherlands, Philip II (1555-1598), produced between 1556 and 1571. It has a diameter 17.51mm, thickness 0.70mm, weight 1.18g. It may be a contemporary copy. See Van Gelder and Hoc 1960, no: 229.

Spain/Spanish America, cut quarter-dollar of Carlos III or IV, uncertain mint c.1772-97: countermarked thrice with SV monogram in squarish ('octagonal' according to Pridmore) indents, for circulation in St Vincent (one of the Windward Islands) in 1797 (this authorised by a Local Act dated 8 December 1797). The quarter-dollar passed as 2s 0¾d, or 2¾ Bitts. They were recalled from circulation in 1823.
