Description of Find
Two silver groats (4d) of Queen Mary of England (1553-4), struck in London; weights 2.01g and 1.89g. The coins are only slightly worn and each has been folded twice, given a shallow āzā-shaped profile. The coins were found in fairly close proximity (18 inches apart). No associated objects were reported.
Treasure Act considerations
