A damaged arm of a cast copper alloy purse bar or purse frame dating from the early post-medieval period, circa AD 1550-1650. The remains of the purse bar include the damaged rotating circular loop and one damaged/incomplete downward pointing arm which would have formed the upper part of the flat frame. The suspension loop/mount (seperate) and other wing are missing. The front face of the surviving arm displays cast floral decoration. The reverse face is undecorated. A copper alloy mount, probably a harness decoration. A lozengiform openwork mount with a loop at one end.The front of the mount is decorated with pairs of curlicues with trefoils between them at the edge. At each point of the lozenge is a fleur de lis (with the circular loop attached to one). There are four trefoil apertures around a central raised lozenge shaped boss. A middle - late Bronze Age copper alloy blade fragment from a sword (circa 1275-800 BC). The blade has a diamond-shaped cross-section and parallel-edges. The midrib is separated from the edge bevels by a slight hollowing. Both short edges of the fragment are breaks and the breaks have the same mid green patina as the rest of the surface suggesting the damage occurred in antiquity. The tip from a Bronze Age cast copper alloy narrow blade, probably from a knife or dagger of the period. The fragment is from the end of the blade although the very point is missing. A Medieval tinned or silvered copper alloy annular brooch. The brooch is sub-square in section each face being decorated with rows of bead-shaped indentations. The frame is twisted longitudinally to form an annular loop. The frame is constricted to take a pin which is now missing. A Middle Bronze Age copper alloy socketed spearhead with side loops (circa 1500-1150BC). The blade is a pointed oval in plan with clearly defined angled edge bevels. The midrib is angled and extends from the socket to the tip creating a lozengiform cross-section to the blade. Approximately halfway down the socket are the side loops. The side loops are lozengiform in plan and almost flat in cross-section. Small sections of the edge of the socket are broken and missing. Dark green patina. A butt fragment from a middle to early late Bronze Age flanged axehead. The fragment includes part of the septum and the flanges and tapers outwards from the narrow butt-end towards the broken edge. It is a light green colour with a corrosion pitted surface. Dimensions: length 59.95mm width 24.70mm; weight 61g The find was first identified as a palstave however the height of the flanges and their length combined with the lack of a stopridge make this unlikely. A Roman copper alloy incomplete nail cleaner with high shouders (circa 43-250AD). This example has a large circular loop set in the same plane as the shaft. The body of the shaft is triangular with the bottom point forming the bifurcated terminal with a central groove. The only decoration is a transverse groove at the junction between the loop and the shaft. The copper alloy does not appear to have a patina. Dimensions: length: 42.53mm; width: 8.64mm; weight: 1.28g.

A probable gilded sheet copper alloy harness fitting of medieval date. The flat circular fitting measures 25.6mm by 20.7mm by 1.2mm and weighs 1.5g. On one side is a rounded projection with a slightly off-centre pierced hole, 3.6mm in diameter. The edge opposite the loop is ragged, possibly reflecting an old break and there may have been another loop or perhaps a hook in this position.
