A fragment of a Post-medieval silver dress pin of the bodkin type (AD 1600-1700). The object is rectangular-sectioned with slightly convex sides, tapering gradually from the pointed upper end to the blunt lower end. The upper and lower ends are missing due to an old break, only the rectangular slot and a small section of the lower portion of the shaft are retained. The lower end of the object tapers inwards. The object retains no indication of decoration.

Dimensions: Diameter 28.8mm, internal Diameter 19.6mm, Thickness 2.4mm; width of frame 5mm, Length of pin 30mm
Complete silver annular brooch with beaded inner and outer edges. There is an inscription in Lombardic, or 'black', lettering on the upper side and a double axe motif on the reverse. An incomplete silver penny of Cnut. In Fine condition, although only c.50% survives. "Short Cross type" (1029 - 1036).
The legend still present on the reverse reads [...]FPINE or [...]EPINE for both of which there are many options (for example, Aelfwine, Leofwine, Hunewine, wulfwine) Some of these names occur at several different mints and so further defining the mint and moneyer is not possible.
