Post Medieval hammered halfgroat of the Commonwealth (1649-1660) minted between 1649 and 1660 AD. North (1991) No. 2728. Obverse is a shield with chequered St. George cross surrounded by a wreath. Reverse has two shields. The left shield has a St. George cross and the right shield has a worn harp. There is a II above the shield with a pellet either side. There is a worn pelleted edge to the reverse. The coin is 16.85mm in diameter, 0.53mm thick and weighs 0.8g.

A cast copper alloy sub-rectangular buckle with a single loop. The strap bar is narrow and off-set with expanded, splayed feet at either terminal. The front edge is curved and features a collar and knop, with a groove separating each feature. A pin recess is visible, but the pin is missing. The metal is a mid greyish-green colour. This buckle dates to circa 1500-1650. The Buckle measures 36.42 mm in length, 24.00 mm in width, 8.46 mm thick and weighs 8.5 g Whitehead, p29.

A complete Cast unifaced circular lead alloy token. The token is decorated on the obverse side with the initial in capital W. The reverse is blank. The token is 13.86 mm in diameter, 1.76 mm thick and weighs 1.9 grams. Lead tokens with simple designs are very easy to make and continued in use for a long period; those with initials are generally thought to date to the post medieval period. (1550-1800 AD).

A complete Cast lead alloy circular unifaced token. The token has a raised design of the capital letters I I with a pellet in between with a line below. The other side is blank. It is 29.04 mm in diameter, 1.60 mm thick and weighs 7.2 grams. Lead tokens had a wide variety of uses and were made locally, dated examples are rare and this helps confirm the usual identification of examples with initials as Post Medieval in date. The token measures 16.80 mm in diameter, 1.74 mm thick and weighs 3.9 grams. Lead tokens had a wide variety of uses and were made locally; they are therefore hard to date precisely, although it is likely that this form is of late Medieval - Post Medieval date, c. 1450-1800 AD.
