The distal end has soft-hammer retouch to the dorsal side, with some more haphazard reoutching (potentially of later date) to the left hand dorsal edge. There is also some modern damage evident.

It is broadly triangular in profile although it is more flat at the proximal end. There are three broad removals on the dorsal surface, with some modern damage / edging. The blade is broken towards the distal end.

A fragment of a broken polished axehead dating to the Neolithic period (c. 4000-2500 BC). The flint is dark brown-orange in colour. The fragment represents a section of the left side of the near-distal end of an axehead, displaying a slight side-facet and polishing to the dorsal and ventral surfaces. Modern damage is evident towards the distal end, with possibly some modern retouching to one section of the ventral edge.

A complete partially crested knife of later Neolithic date (c. 3000-2500 BC). The knife is made on a secondary flake of a pale yellow and grey flint. The knife is triangular in section with an uneven dorsal crest and flat ventral side. Multi-directional hard hammer retouching is present around nearly all of the dorsal surface. A tiny section of the platform has been retained but the bulb has been removed by one or possibly two hard blows to the ventral proximal end.

A modern (c. AD 1800-2010) flint scraper made on an ancient flake of uncertain prehistoric date. The scraper is broadly circular in plan with part of the platform and the buld retained. A collection of three (3) flint scrapers of probable Early Bronze Age date (c. 2500-1600 BC). The scrapers are all broadly circular in plane with invasive,scaled yet expedient retouching between around 50%-90% of the edges. All three scrapers retain cortex; two are primary flakes with the third being secondary. Retouching has occured through the cortex in two examples. The flints vary in colour; light-dark grey; mottles yellow and grey; dark reddish brown.

A flint crested bladelet of probable Mesolithic date (c. 10,000-4000 BC). The bladelet has been made on a tertiary flake with the flint being a mottled light to dark brown colour. Part of the platform is retained as is the low bulb. Three or four long flake scars are present on the dorsal surface, with a small area of cresting towards the distal end. There is possibly a small area of retouch on one edge close to the proximal end. There are two small areas of modern damage.

A complete flint? polished axehead dating to the Neolithic period (c. 4000-2500 BC). The axe is in very good condition and is of high quality. The stone is a mottled light grey and mid brown colour. The axe has side facets and a thin butt. It has been polished all over and the cutting edge has been resharpened and re-polished in antiquity after being damaged. An area of damage on one side was caused by the finder hitting it with a pickaxe when it was discovered some c. 60 years ago. This is a very nice example of a Neolithic polished axe.

The form of the flake is similar to later Neolithic fabricators however the retouch is quite fresh and cuts through the surface patina on both dorsal and ventral surfaces (Alison Roberts Ashmolean Museum, pers. comm).
