Description:  A fragment of a silver finger ring of uncertain date, probably Medieval to Post Medieval. Silver gilt dress hook consisting of a triangular plate on which is a 2.1mm deep, recessed, panel in the form of three conjoined lobes separated by three triangles. Around the panel is a recessed band, marked with band of fine, transverse, lines. Around the outer edge of the plate are six small, tri-lobed, projections each marked by an omega-shaped rib. A top of Roman rotary quern stone made of light grey granite. The quern is dome-shaped with a flat underside and the rounded top has sustained some damage and is incomplete. In the centre is a perforation expands at the top and has a maximum diameter of around 110mm. Near the base of the quern, on one side is a smaller perforation with a maximum diameter of around 51.0mm. The general diameter of the quern is 320mm and the height is 170mm.

A complete cast copper alloy Roman trumpet brooch in excellent condition. Behind the oval head is a complete spring mechanism consisting of spring of five coils with an internal chord and a pierced lug in the centre. A complete medieval copper alloy sheet thimble. The flat rim has a groove border and the sides have vertical lines of small circular hand punched indentations. The domed top of the thimble has the same indentations in a spiral formation.. One of the indentations has punched all the way through. An incomplete cast copper alloy Roman dolphin type brooch. The semi-cylindrical wings have a rearward claw on the top and would have once housed a spring pin mechanism, though none of this survives. The ends of the wings are decorated with groove containing raised lines. The slightly humped bow has a channel down the centre with a wavy line in the middle. Both the foot and catch plate are missing. The surviving length is 24.2mm, the width is 30.7mm and the weight is 8.11g.

An incomplete cast copper alloy Early Medieval Anglo Saxon strap end. The tongue shaped strap end has an incomplete split attachment end with two rivet holes, one hole still retains a copper alloy rivet. The front of the strap end has a central panel with very worn Trewhiddle style decoration. The strap end terminates with a zoomorphic animal head terminal and the back is plain. The surviving length is 32.0mm, the width is 12.2mm, the thickness is 4.2mm and the weight is 4.01g.

Probable fragment of a post-medieval horn book. One face of the flat rectangular lead fragment has the letters W and X on one line with a letter S underneath. The other face has two horizontal lines with some letters including an R, A and M in between them. The surviving length is 17.0mm, the width is 30.7mm, the thickness is 1.4mm and the weight is 5.08g. Full-size hornbooks (of wood and horn or mica) were used as aids in teaching the alphabet, but it seems likely that small lead versions were toys; most seem to be 17th-century in date (Lewis 2012, 98-101).

A fragment from a cast copper alloy two-part handle from a drinking vessel. The surviving top part of the handle has two pierced lugs though which is secured the second lid part of the handle. It is attached by a single cast copper alloy rivet which would allow the lid section to move. The lid part is irregular in plan and consists of a two projections with rectangular shaped cross sections. The lower projection is tapers and the top one is rounded at the end and terminates with two large knobs. The surviving length is 26.6mm, the width is 29.5mm and the weight is 19.0mm.

An almost complete cast lead Early Medieval brooch. The front is decorated with two concentric circles. The large inside circle has a cross made of wedges with a raised boss in the centre and in each arm of the cross is a raised triangle. In between each arm are four pellets in a triangle formation; three along the top and one at the bottom. In the outer circle is a border of raised lines. A complete cast copper alloy medieval horse harness pendant. The shield shaped pendant has an integral attachment loop at the top, which is turned ninety degrees to the pendant. Through the loop is a copper alloy axis bar which secures the pendant to an attachment fitting. The simple attachment fitting has two lugs either side of the pendant attachment loop and has a long integral rivet projecting from the top.
