A copper-alloy Roman sestertius of Faustina II (AD 147-175), under Marcus Aurelius, dating to the period c.AD 161-175 (Reece period 8). Possibly VENVS VICTRIX reverse type depicting Venus standing left with Victory and shield? Mint of Rome. cf. RIC III, no. 1688. The coin has a light green patina and good surface detail. It is, however, corroded around the edges. It measures 32.6mm diameter by 3.5mm thick and weighs 20.94g.
