A contemporary copy of a copper-alloy As of Claudius, AD 41-54. The surfaces are worn and encrusted. It measures 23.9mm in diameter, 2.6mm thick and weighs 6.31g. This is a relatively poor imitation of the much copied 'Minerva brandishing javelin' coin (see RIC Vol I, p. 128, no. 100).
