Complete penannular composite bi-partite gold ring. Each ring is sub-circular in section and attached to each other along their lengths before finishing in a plain uniform terminal. There is no evidence for further decoration. The terminals are flat and there is no further decoration. The ring is in very good condition with slight scratches on the surface. Date: 17th Century Description: Post-Medieval gold memorial ring, the exterior engraved with flower and leaves, the interior inscribed in lower case: H.T. the Glory of her Children obt: 85: aeta: 68'. [H.T. etc, died 1685, aged 68]. Maker's mark G over W in double square shield. This a standard late 17th century type, but the inscription, an unusual one, indicates that it was made by the deceased's children.

A gold, V-shaped finger ring. The hoop is slender and circular in cross-section, and is an oval bent to form a ring which when placed on the finger would zig-zag around it. There is no bezel and no decoration on the hoop. This type of ring is rare but known from the Iron Age. The closest parallel is from Park Brow, Sompting, West Sussex, dating from 400-200 BC. Probable Iron Age gold stater fragment; roughly one quarter of the coin survives and it has been bent almost double and apparently cut. On one side are eight raised rectangles set at angles to each other; on the other side the decoration is less clear as it is folded but there are raised pellets and a circle containing a pellet. Possibly an Iron Age coin reused as Viking hack gold. Length 9.55mm, width 6.75mm, thickness as folded 3.9mm, thickness of metal variable 1.0mm-2.6mm, weight 0.89g.

Small gilded silver annular brooch, pentagonal with a raised circular boss at the centre of four of the sides, and the D-sectioned loop of the pin at the centre of the fifth side. The remainder of the pin is broken off. The circular bosses are decorated with raised pellets - one with 4, one with 3, and two with an uncertain number. The frame is D-sectioned. The reverse is plain and flat.

Late medieval or early post medieval gold crucifix, 16th century. The foot of the cross is expanded in plan and decorated with a linear pattern of blue and black enamel. The top of the cross has a strip across it with the black enamel inscription INRI (for "Jesus of Nazareth King of the Jews") with a blue enamel line above & below. Gold finger-ring. Decorated with five panels depicting hands and possibly a foot and what could be a bird. Cross hatching, background of rows of bosses and dots between panels. Crown of Thorns depicted, with possible drops of blood on hands and feet. Could possibly be early 18th Century, but the crown of thorns and background decoration suggest a more likely date of 17th Century. Consequently, in terms of age and as the object contains a minimum of 10% precious metal it qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996.

A Medieval gold posy finger-ring fashioned into the shape of a garter. CORONER'S REPORT Description of Find The ring is substantially gold and consists of a broad, punch-decorated band tapering sharply at each end to wire terminals which were originally twisted together; width, 26 mm.
